Rotorua Weekender - - News -

Thumbs up

■ To the wonderful people at Mamaku Blue Cafe´ who have provided morning tea for many volunteer organisations. Thank you for your kindness. The blueberry muffins were delicious.

■ To Ian and Karen from Events and Entertainment who kindly stopped and changed an elderly lady’s tyre earlier this month after she came to grief on a roundabout.

■ To my sister who chased four boys that stole a bike from her place, waved a car down and tracked them to Alison St Park and got the bike back.

■ To all the amazing Rotorua Bike Festival photos up on Facebook. It’s great to see so many people having such a good time while getting active.

■ To how happy and cheerful people were over the Labour Weekend. It’s amazing what some great weather can do.

Thumbs down

■ To the driver who, while waiting at the Amohau/ranolf lights on Tuesday morning, dropped a bag of rubbish out of his window and on to the road. Shame on them.

■ To all the children who lie on the Hamurana Bridge when cars are coming, and abusing cars as they are driving past.

■ To the four boys who stole a bike from my sister’s during the day while people were home.

■ Above views are submitted by readers and are not necessarily that of the Weekender.
