Golfing for Hospice
Craigs Investment Partners has been organising the Hospice Golf Classic for the past nine years.
The event has grown each year and last Friday 32 teams of four took to the green and $17,700 was raised for Rotorua Community Hospice.
Rotorua Hospice chief executive Jonathon Hagger says it was fantastic to see so many people teeing off for Hospice, and the funds raised help support more than 420 patients in Hospice care each year.
“It was a fun day on the course, the rain held off and everyone got into the spirit of the day.”
Craigs Investment Partners chief organiser James Twist was thrilled with the turnout.
“A big thank you to all players, and especially the businesses and individuals that donated prizes, auction items, the raffle item, plus the hole sponsors all of which without their support we simply would not be able to hold the event.”
As well as an 18 round hole of golf, entrants were treated to a light supper, charity auction and some team prizes.
Craigs Investment Partners and Rotorua Hospice thanked all the participants, sponsors and the donations made to make the event possible.
