Thumbs up

■ To Lane from

Loader Up Contracting. Had a jungle for a backyard filled with concrete, tree stumps and a broken pergola. In one day he tore it all out, took everything to the dump and levelled out our yard. He was efficient, professional and did a stellar job.

■ To Plunket for organising young parent groups for migrants from China, Japan and the Philippines.

■ To the motorists pulling left to allow others to pass the recycling trucks safely.

■ To Shelley and Cameron of Kea Street Specialist School for organising the great fundraising fun run. It was a super success.

Thumbs down

■ To the people walking dogs in the Redwoods and not picking up your dog’s poop. It’s not a good look. Use the dog walking park.

■ To the people who drank and smashed their bottles at Ngongotaha¯ Skate Park. My son’s bike tyre got slashed and he got glass in his knee.

■ Above views are submitted by readers and are not necessarily that of the Weekender.
