No­mads United proved too much for Sel­wyn United FC in Satur­day fix­ture’s sec­ond half, blitz­ing past an even score for a com­fort­able win.

At half time, the teams were drawn 2-2 at Christchurch’s Tulett Park, but No­mads then took con­trol putting four goals in the sec­ond half.

In the other games, Coastal Spirit edged out FC Twenty 11 1-0, Fer­rymead put bot­tom of the ta­ble Uni­ver­si­ties to bed 7-0 and Nel­son Sub­urbs took home their sec­ond 2-2 draw in as many games to Cash­mere Tech­ni­cal.

The Stal­lions had a mixed bag over Easter Week­end, go­ing down 3-1 to FC Twenty 11 in round three be­fore fight­ing Nel­son Sub­urbs to a 2-2 draw in round four.

Round three re­sults for other teams saw Nel­son win over No­mads 4-1, Coastal Spirit clean up Uni­ver­si­ties 4-0 and Fer­rymead go down to Cash­mere 0-2.

In round four, Cash­mere kept up their win­ning run, beat­ing FC Twenty 11 3-1 while Uni­ver­si­ties still strug­gled to pro­duce any league points, go­ing down 3-0 to No­mads.

Fer­rymead fin­ished Easter off with a win how­ever, suc­cess­fully tak­ing the Hur­ley Shield from Coastal in a 1-0 win, the first time the shield had changed hands in the 2018 sea­son.

This week­end SUFC are set to take on Uni­ver­si­ties in an­other away game at Ilam Fields in Christchurch.
