Nomads United proved too much for Selwyn United FC in Saturday fixture’s second half, blitzing past an even score for a comfortable win.
At half time, the teams were drawn 2-2 at Christchurch’s Tulett Park, but Nomads then took control putting four goals in the second half.
In the other games, Coastal Spirit edged out FC Twenty 11 1-0, Ferrymead put bottom of the table Universities to bed 7-0 and Nelson Suburbs took home their second 2-2 draw in as many games to Cashmere Technical.
The Stallions had a mixed bag over Easter Weekend, going down 3-1 to FC Twenty 11 in round three before fighting Nelson Suburbs to a 2-2 draw in round four.
Round three results for other teams saw Nelson win over Nomads 4-1, Coastal Spirit clean up Universities 4-0 and Ferrymead go down to Cashmere 0-2.
In round four, Cashmere kept up their winning run, beating FC Twenty 11 3-1 while Universities still struggled to produce any league points, going down 3-0 to Nomads.
Ferrymead finished Easter off with a win however, successfully taking the Hurley Shield from Coastal in a 1-0 win, the first time the shield had changed hands in the 2018 season.
This weekend SUFC are set to take on Universities in another away game at Ilam Fields in Christchurch.
