THE ALPINE CENTRE HOME OF SKI BIZ AND SNOWZONE!
The Alpine Centre owners Robbie and Shona Forbes are really excited for this winter, with the new Gondola developments happening at Whakapapa Ski Area, and now being well set up in The Alpine Centre building one year on from its massive extension. Robbie and Shona have been working in the ski and alpine industry for more than 20 years, have a wealth of knowledge in this field and have continually invested in their business and the National Park community.
The merger last season brought the Ski Biz and Snowzone stores into this one modern and fresh, purpose-built snow store offering rental, retail and workshop tuning. Last season we were scrambling to get into the building, but could see from the start that we had better flow through the rental and the extension area allowed space for new customers renting, to try on gear, and get better customer service, while seasoned renters in a hurry to get to the slopes could still flow through the rental quickly. This has ensured a better customer satisfaction and service all round, and will be complemented this year by an upgrade of our iPad App rental solution now with 10 iPads throughout the store servicing the rental.
This season also includes considerable invested on upgrades of our rental fleet with new Burton, and Never Summer boards and Burton Boots, plus an extension of our Demo rentals of Head and Rossignol skis and demo boards, plus new helmets and rental clothing.
The shop has been rearranged from last years layout to create a better flow, and will have many of the sought after and popular brands of skis, snowboards, apparel and accessories. Brands including Rossignol, Head, Nordica, Atomic, Salomon. Plus apparel from Picture, Protest, Surfanic, Roxy, Quiksilver, DC, Rojo, Planks. As always we will have one of the best ranges and service in Goggles and Helmets from Giro, Smith, Bern, Scott and you can check it all out in-store and through our online shop.
We have a super Team this season, enthusiastic and excited to be a part of this new chapter, along with some of our long serving infatuated and knowledgable staff, we have several younger fresh faces, enthusiastic to expand their skillsets and knowledge in the Alpine retail and rental winter business.
Most importantly The Alpine Centre Team all share a passion for having fun on the snow and are keen to help and ensure that everyone who comes into our store is equipped with the gear they need to have the best possible and memorable snow experience!
