International Volunteers Day thank you lunch is on

-

Volunteering New Plymouth did not forget all of you wonderful volunteers.

For the second year, we have changed the thank you lunch into something a little different – we are looking at this being permanent – and looking to support local community organisations and giving volunteers an opportunity to experience something that they may not necessarily do on their own.

We are sending a big shout out to all the wonderful volunteers in our New Plymouth District. If you volunteer for a community organisation/sporting group/not-forprofit group, we are inviting you to come along and meet other local volunteers.

Join us in Inglewood on Sunday, February 20 for a round of mini golf and morning tea. There are limited spaces available, so contact us asap to book your place.

Inglewood Mini Golf venue requires vaccine passes to enter.

Volunteering New Plymouth is supported by the New Plymouth District Council to bring this event to our volunteer community. This is put on to acknowledge your contribution to our district. So, come along and be spoilt for a morning.

For those less mobile, there are many seats around the venue and, if you are not sure that you can participate, we hope you will enjoy watching and then join everyone for morning tea and a chat. There will be seats for everyone for morning tea after mini golf. It is a beautiful venue and so we are excited to be supporting another community project with our volunteer thank you event. Our caterers are a couple of Mad Cows, who also support the community.

We will be meeting at the venue of 47 Elliot St, Inglewood, at 9 and 9.15am for 9.30am start. All instructions will be given when you phone to confirm your place.

We need your name on our list NOW to ensure that there is a place for you. We need to have numbers no later than Tuesday, February 15, at 9am so we can get the final details to the venue and to the caterers, and complete our preparations without stress.

We want to see as many volunteers as possible at this free event for our community volunteers. If you would like to join other volunteers, so we can thank you for your wonderful contribution to our community, please do not delay and give Marie or Wendy a call at Volunteering New Plymouth (06) 758 8986 or phone/text Marie on 027 541 0577, or Wendy on 022 571 4228, so they can put your name on the attendance list.

Please let your fellow volunteers know and ensure they are aware that everyone who wishes to attend must phone to reserve their place, so they get the finer details for the day and we have the correct name and details for the name badge.

Please note that if your name is not on the list and if you do not have your vaccine pass with you, there is a no entry policy.
