Immunisation!

-

A new FREE immunisation clinic to help protect you and whānau against preventable illnesses is at 351 Devon St West, New Plymouth. The ‘green house’ is open to the whole community. There’s also a specific immunisation clinic for pregnant/hapū people and tamariki, at Taranaki Base Hospital’s Child & Adolescent Community Centre off Tukapa St. Both FREE clinics offer: Childhood and adult vaccinations; Measles, mumps and rubella vaccination (MMR); Pregnancy vaccinations, including whooping cough; Covid-19 (first, second and boosters). Staff can answer any questions or have a chat.

Can’t make this clinic? Visit healthpoint. co.nz to find another site open near you offering vaccination or visit bookmyvaccine.health.nz. It’s highly recommended to get MMR immunisation if you have not been vaccinated against measles, or if you’re unsure if you’ve had a measles vaccination previously (including those born pre 1969). Whooping cough is highly infectious and can be dangerous for babies and young children. Vaccination helps protect against it and all babies can be immunised free, along with pregnant people to help protect babies until they are old enough to be vaccinated. Additional COVID-19 boosters are available for anyone aged 30 and over, and people aged 16-29 years who are at higher risk of severe illness. Talk to one of our staff to find out if you are eligible or visit info.health.nz/immunisations/ vaccines-aotearoa/covid-19-vaccines/ covid-19-vaccine-boosters/ to find out more. Our team can provide governmentfunded vaccinations such as Covid-19 and those on the NZ Immunisation Schedule.
