Plenty of sporty ways to be active

Co-ordinator – South Waikato District Tokoroa Hash House Harriers

Meeting at the Tokoroa Club, 6pm. Come and enjoy the walk/run with the group. Tokoroa Junior Squash Junior Squash started on March 17, 4.30pm to 6pm for a four week introducti­on to squash for all new and past and present members, age 8 and older. Some rackets are provided, please wear non- marking shoes. Term two will be the start of our coaching programme, contact Karla Coxon on 883 6070 for details. Echo Walking Festival These walks are filling up quickly but we still have space for some of our local walks including Cougar Park. Bring the family to walk around Cougar Park and on the tracks that can be used for mountain biking and walking. Tuesday and Wednesday April 1- 2 at 5.15pm. Meet at the Tokoroa Cricket Club. Timberland­s Pony Club North Island Teams Event

The Timberland­s Pony Club are hosting a teams event in Tokoroa on April 5-6. Saturday there will be dressage and show jumping at Memorial Sports Grounds and Sunday the teams will be competing at Chris and Mary Bailey’s property, opposite Tokoroa Gold Club, including a parade on Sunday at 2pm.

Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy this event but please NO DOGS. Teams will be travelling from all around the North Island and Mandy Boyce is looking for billets to host these teams which will include six riders and their ponies and a team manager and/or parent. If you are able to help out with billeting could you please contact Mandy on 886 6981 or 0274 841 7172. Movit fitness Classes are held weekly in our office at 43 Swanston St and are $4 per class. If you would like more details about these classes contact Mandy on 021 246 3205, here is her timetable: Monday: Circuit 9.30am, Kettlebell­s 6pm. Tuesday: Aerobics 9.30am, Circuit 6pm. Wednesday: Fit for 50+ 9.30am, Fit for Life 10.30am. Thursday: Kettlebell­s 9.30am, Circuit 6pm. Friday: Circuit 9am, Fit for Life 10.30am.
