Mobil Tokoroa to close
Mobil Tokoroa will be closed for approximately three months while the company upgrades the underground fuel storage system at the site.
Mobil is upgrading the fuel system to bring it in line with the company’s operational safety, integrity and environmental stewardship standards.
While the existing fuel storage system meets all current safety guidelines and regulations, the new storage system represents the highest standard currently available in New Zealand.
In addition to the fuel storage system upgrade, Mobil is installing an additional fuel dispenser on the retail forecourt which will increase the total number of fuelling points from six to eight. This will include extending the forecourt canopy.
Mobil will also install a Diesel Emission Fluid tank and dispenser at the Mobil Tokoroa truck stop and refurbish the existing canopy over the truck stop area.
Mobil will also refurbish the car wash roof at the service station.
The installation of the new underground fuel storage system at Mobil Tokoroa represents part of a wider long-term investment program by Mobil Oil New Zealand to upgrade fuel storage at our company-owned service stations.
