Hol­i­day fun for new Strat­ford ar­rivals

The Gren­don fam­ily have only just moved to Strat­ford from Cape Town in South Africa, but they have al­ready set­tled in well.

Mum Janine and her three daugh­ters Erin, Gaby and Asha were at the Strat­ford War Me­mo­rial Cen­tre last Fri­day en­joy­ing mak­ing a scare­crow to­gether as part of the school hol­i­day pro­gramme of­fered by Strat­ford Dis­trict Coun­cil.

Janine, her hus­band and the girls re­cently moved from South Africa to Strat­ford and Janine says they have all felt very wel­comed by the com­mu­nity. Gaby and Erin are en­rolled at Pem­broke School and Janine says they have en­joyed mak­ing new friends.

“Every­one is so friendly, the kids are lov­ing it here, lots to do.”

Dur­ing the hol­i­days Janine says the girls have en­joyed the range of ac­tiv­i­ties on of­fer through the Strat­ford Dis­trict Coun­cil school hol­i­day pro­gramme.
