Holiday fun for new Stratford arrivals

- By ILONA HANNE

The Grendon family have only just moved to Stratford from Cape Town in South Africa, but they have already settled in well.

Mum Janine and her three daughters Erin, Gaby and Asha were at the Stratford War Memorial Centre last Friday enjoying making a scarecrow together as part of the school holiday programme offered by Stratford District Council.

Janine, her husband and the girls recently moved from South Africa to Stratford and Janine says they have all felt very welcomed by the community. Gaby and Erin are enrolled at Pembroke School and Janine says they have enjoyed making new friends.

“Everyone is so friendly, the kids are loving it here, lots to do.”

During the holidays Janine says the girls have enjoyed the range of activities on offer through the Stratford District Council school holiday programme.
