STRATFORD AVON BOWLS REPORT

On Saturday the men played another round of the Syme Shield. The match against Manaia was won 2:0 while it was a loss of 1:0 against both Tower and Hawera Park.

On Sunday it was the Championship Mixed Drawn Triples, with the winning team consisting of Norm Webby, Mary Bishop and Raj Ravji.

Over the upcoming long weekend the Men’s Taranaki Open Singles will be played. Club members involved in the game are Iain Parker, Matt Watson and Kevin Mischefski.

On Saturday the club is holding an open day for anyone who would like to come along and give the game a go. This starts at 1pm.

If players wish to be entered in the Men’s Interclub, their names need to be on the board by the end of this week.

Entries for the Taranaki Open Mixed Fours close on Thursday, November 15.

The club would like to enter more players in the Men’s Championship Premier Fours and the Women’s Championship Fours.
