The Cen­tral Milk­ing and Pump­ing Stratford Premier Cricket Team went into round three of a one day com­pe­ti­tion at the week­end af­ter hav­ing the pre­vi­ous week rained out. Play­ing Fran­cis Dou­glas Stratford lost the toss and Fran­cis Dou­glas Memo­rial Col­lege de­cided to bat first, putting on a com­pet­i­tive score of 221/5 off their 50 overs. For Stratford the pick of the bowlers was El­lis Tay­lor with fig­ures of 2/26 off his nine overs. With Fin­bar Mo­ri­arty, Liam Mug­geridge and Ian Buchanan each pick­ing up a wicket each. In re­ply, Stratford came so close but ended up be­ing one run short Mak­ing 220. Neil Harper was again im­pres­sive with the bat top scor­ing with 72. Fin­bar Mo­ri­arty also looked good scor­ing 42. Stratford now need to pick them­selves up for a must win game against New Ply­mouth Boys’ High.
