For the Young and Young at Heart

Stratford Press - - News -

The small animal tent is hugely popular and houses a huge variety of animals both large and small and is the perfect place for children to interact with our four legged friends. Children will also enjoy the Wonky Donkey Man, Craig Smith, as he entertains with his great array of song and performance. This year the beautifully gentle Clydesdale Horses also will be at the show and are sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Taranaki wide radio station, The Hits are also running a Kids Karaoke competition for children to sing and enter to win bikes from Seaver Cycles in Hawera in both age sections (7-11 years and 12-15 years). Children can enter by sending their name, age and contact number to taranaki@nzme.co.nz. Local daytime announcer Emma Helleur will be at the show on the Friday, so make sure you come and say hi.

The ever popular Mahons Amusement carnival rides and sideshow return this year and visitors are welcome to enjoy the Clydesdale horse and cart rides at one end of the grounds and Steam engine/tractor rides at the other.

The show is fantastic family day out with plenty to see and do – with delicious food, ethnic treats, loads of stalls, displays and entertainment. The Hawera Auto Court Egmont A & P Show offers a great family day out and creates lasting memories.

Don’t miss Friday night’s Show Parade through Hawera’s town centre – a free and fun community event for the whole town to enjoy.

Make sure you head to the show – it’s just a gold coin to enter! Photo and content supplied by the Egmont A&P Assn
