Event introduces Sea-Doo craft
More than 30 people took the opportunity to come and see what Sea-Doo can do at an event at Taranaki Motorcycles on the last Friday in October.
Sea-Doo is a brand of personal water craft and boats manufactured by Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) since 1988.
Gavin Dey, owner and manager of Taranaki Motorcycles in Stratford, says while the majority of those who attended were current Sea-Doo owners, they were joined by several others who wanted to find out more about the brand.
“They were interested in finding out more about the GTX155 Fish Pro,” he says.
Gavin says the GTX155 Fish Pro is the world’s first purpose-built fishing personal water craft.
The event started with a presentation from Andrew Hill, a New Zealander who worked alongside BRP when they developed the GTX155 Fish Pro. Andrew is a fishing expert who has specialised in converting personal watercraft for fishing expeditions for the past 10 years. His long-standing involvement with the sport in New Zealand, along with his numerous popular YouTube videos on the subject led to him being approached by BRP to work with them in creating the GTX155 Fish Pro, says Gavin.
After the presentation, Taranaki Motorcycles staff and Andrew answered questions while all present enjoyed a light supper.
