■ Strathmore Golf Club:

The AGM was held on No­vem­ber 13 and a new com­mit­tee elected.

Twi­light started on Wed­nes­day, No­vem­ber 14 and the win­ners were Lau­reen Baldock (20), Neil Smil­lie (19), Sharyn Buchanan (19), Greg Wood (19), John Cus­din (19), Pete Smith­son (19), Mike John­son

(19), Shane Jury (18), Lance Fen­ton (17) and Marie Mills (17). Clos­est to the pin Shane Jury.

Twi­light played on Thurs­day, No­vem­ber 22 the fol­low­ing week and the win­ners were Brian Need­ham (20), Mau­rie Mills (17) and Lau­reen Baldock (17-2 = 15).

Clos­est to the pin was Lau­reen Baldock.

In fu­ture if wet on Wed­nes­day it will be played on Thurs­day if the weather is fine.

■ Strat­ford Avon Bowl­ing Club:

Last Tues­day the Taranaki

3/5 com­pe­ti­tion started at the club. Three teams were en­tered from the Strat­ford Avon Club, com­ing away with three out of six wins.

Last Thurs­day the op­tional triples tour­na­ment took place with Den­nis McEwen. Tony Up­son (who was re­placed by Paul Digby and Noe­line Gavin win­ning on the top green. Colin Jones, John Sex­tus and James Howat­son were sec­ond, Jim Rawl­in­son from Haw­era Park was third.

On the bot­tom green the win­ner was Ivor Bot­ica. Sec­ond place when to Colin Wheeler, Norm Webby and Royce Eaves, third was Ian Fraser from Tower.

On Satur­day teams played in the Taranaki Open Mixed 2 x 4 x 2 pairs. Matt Wat­son and Mary Bishop qual­i­fied with one win out of two games, rain washed out the third game.

On Sun­day the men played one round of the Cham­pi­onship Premier Fours, with four qual­i­fiers. Kevin Mis­chef­ski will play Paul Digby and Colin Jones will play John Sex­tus this Satur­day.
