Tea towels for cathedral
Taranaki Cathedral has been immortalised on a commemorative tea towel as part of the fundraising campaign to restore the historic church.
Designed by The Cathedral Project remediation and design manager Jenny Goddard, the tea towel features architectural line drawings of each elevation of the cathedral and the words “History, faith, worship, community, friendship, education and celebration”.
“The wording reflects our aspirations as we work to raise the $15 million needed to restore our historic cathedral and develop a cathedral precinct on the site, including a world-class visitor and community atrium,” says The Cathedral Project campaign manager Jan Masons.
“Our aim is to make the cathedral precinct a place for worship, mission, education, tourism and visitor hospitality.”
The commemorative tea towels are white with either red or black writing and are $25 each, or four for $80.
“It’s the perfect Christmas stocking filler or a treat for yourself. Each one sold is helping us take a step closer to securing the future of the region’s beautiful, historically significant church and grounds,” Jan says.
