Thanks for service
I was astounded to read “vets proud to wear medals on Anzac Day” that not all military service makes one a veteran according to the Government. How unfair.
I would think anyone who willingly gave years of their life to wear a uniform, defend their country if the need arose and trained in matters of war would be eligible. Why on earth must they have to have experienced an actual battle — surely willingness to be in one is enough? Such a shame and I commend Mr Tutauha for fighting for his and other veterans’ rights.
