Yulia lives her dream nursing at Chalmers Home
The people and the philosophy are just two of the reasons why the nursing team at Enliven’s Chalmers Home love coming to work.
Yulia Liron has been a registered nurse at Enliven’s Chalmers Home for almost a year after arriving from Israel where she worked as a medical ward nurse for six years. Living and working in New Zealand became her dream after she and her husband travelled here in 2015.
“With Enliven’s Eden philosophy of care, residents’ wellbeing and safety are a top priority for everyone who works at Chalmers Home,” explains Yulia.
“I had some experience in aged care and I could feel the difference immediately.
“The environment is friendly, and there are many recreational activities all week long. The residents are happy, and well looked after,” says Yulia. Clinical nurse manager Joan Martinez says Yulia is a welcome addition to the team at Chalmers Home.
“She is a very enthusiastic, always eager to learn and works well with the team,” says Joan.
“Her additional role as a preceptor includes role modelling and skill building when it comes to training our new nurses.”
Yulia says she is thrilled with her choice to come to New Zealand and work at Chalmers Home as enjoys a
real work life balance. In her free time Yulia enjoys jogging, travelling with family, painting, and attending art events and festivals.
“New Plymouth has so much to offer,” says Yulia. “It’s a great place to live and work.”
