Stratford Avon Bowling Club: On September 10, the Stratford Avon Bowling Club held its opening day.

Despite the rain causing the greens to be too soft to be played on, it didn’t dampen the spirit of the many people who turned up to register. As always, there was a good catch-up over an amazing potluck lunch in the freshly painted clubroom interior.

The week ahead: Saturday September 17: 1pm, two-hour Mufti Fun Tournament (Great for new and old members to have some fun together.) Sunday, September 18: 9.30am club championship Mixed Graded Pairs. This is a great opportunity for new members to mix it with the more experienced members, with no pressure whatsoever, and maybe end up with their name on the honours board. Pat Collins will not start until Wednesday, September 28.
