The trend in colour and couches.

Colour
When paint suppliers, decorators or interior designers talk about what is going to be the colour for the season or the year, they are really predicting what will be trending.
I think this is great as it makes you take notice of new colour palettes, some that you may not have even considered.
Some of the colours that made the cut this year are probably not what you would have expected.
Including that wonderful traditional red that farmers use to paint their barn and woolshed. Kind of what I would call a chalky red. It teams beautifully with gold or a mucky pink.
Sage green is a favourite because it seems that people are wanting to reconnect with nature and that colour green is so calming.
Spicy yellow ochre or subdued sunshine will be seen in kitchens and lounges. Warm with a Moroccan feel, this colour teams wonderfully with reds, blues and green. It gives a rich feeling to a room.
Fresh and airy blue and rich vintage blue are still firm favourites as they have been for quite a while and off-white tending towards a grey hue will a strong contender for anyone who is not game for a splash of colour
The sofa
Maybe it’s the increased time we’ve all spent on our sofas in recent times, but one thing is clear, our sofas need to be supremely comfortable.
Curvaceous soft lines, fluted, ribbed, arcs and serpentine . . . all these words sum up the style of sofas that are taking stage in our lounges. Adorned with sumptuous fabrics, such as velvet, Boule (soft nubby fabric) furry and cosy. Pure linen and cotton are still a firm favourite for summer and most are a solid colour, with patterns making a strong showing in accessories such as cushions.
Even though you will still find the popular sofas with straight lines, you are going to see more and more statement sofas that you will just sink into and won’t want to leave. There will be more curved and distinctive shapes which are almost architectural in their design.
On the downside these sofas are going to take up more room in your living space and you may find everyone else in your family are rather keen to take up their space on them as well!
Your sofa, a place to relax, unwind and enjoy!
