Whatever you grow, will save a bro!

-

Doesn’t matter if it is black, grey, ginger, multi-coloured, patchy, lopsided, itchy, epic or even a little bit sparse! . . . whatever the Mo you grow this Movember, your face will raise funds as well as awareness for men’s health, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

What does Movember charity do?

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. . . they know what works for men and what doesn’t.

Mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer – they take them all on.

Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world and are doing what others can’t.

They unite experts from around the world to collaborate on projects that will fundamentally change the way men in need are treated and supported. To ensure their impact is significant, far-reaching, and longlasting, they prioritise funding for the three biggest health issues facing men.

In everything they do, they strive to be transparent and accountable. They report thoroughly on each project so that their Mo Bros and Mo Sisters can see how their support is changing the lives of men around the world.

Do you know?

Men will die on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for reasons that are largely preventable. Which means that it doesn’t have to be that way, we can all take action to live healthier, happier, and longer lives.

The facts

Prostate Cancer: Across New Zealand, there are more than 15,000 men living with and beyond prostate cancer. Many are dealing with serious side effects from treatment.

Suicide: Globally on average one man dies from suicide every minute of every day.

Testicular Cancer: This is the number one cancer among young guys. Yet 62% of those who are most at risk don’t know how to check themselves. When caught early, testicular cancer is highly treatable and highly curable.

Mates for Movember

No matter who you are, a lawyer, builder or dancer, everyone goes through tough times. Movember encourage us all to be more open to deal with these things that come up in our lives.

Thank goodness men are getting better when it comes to discussing their health. Movember is just another reminder to our men to talk to their mates if they have any concerns relating to health . . . remember, that is what mates are for!

They may not always be able to help, but they can listen and sometimes that is all that is needed to make you do something about what is worrying you.
