“Hoi An House (265 Halswell Road, Halswell) is well worth checking out. We had a large gathering there and the atmosphere was just lovely. What I really was impressed with was the focus on dietary needs – our server checked for allergies to onions, mushrooms and nuts and also checked for gluten-free and coeliac needs. We had a coeliac in our party and they provided a completely separate entrée and meal for them. We talked way after our meals finished and did not feel we were being rushed out. It was not a late night but it was lovely to sit and chat with friends and family not seen for a while. The food, venue and attentive staff are well deserving of five stars.”
