Farah says Origin

The Blues hooker is treating every game like it’s his last, reports Michael Chammas.

HE doesn’t want it to be, but Robbie Farah knows Wednesday night’s come-from-behind triumph could mark the end of his State of Origin career.

With skipper Paul Gallen retiring from the Origin arena, and Blues coach Laurie Daley having already parted with Beau Scott, Ryan Hoffman, Greg Bird and company, NSW have moved into a new era.

The last two remaining 30-somethings are Farah and James Maloney, with the hooker to be 33 by the time next year’s series rolls around.

There was an external push for Farah to be replaced by Nathan Peats for game three this year, however Daley stuck solid with his vice-captain in his 16th Origin appearance. But the Wests Tigers hooker knows time isn’t on his side and while he insists he wants to play on for the Blues next season, he realises that decision could be taken out of his hands.
