Yasir in charge

-

Yasir Shah’s five-wicket haul gave Pakistan the edge on the second day of the first cricket test against England, who suffered a middle order collapse to close on 253-7, 86 runs shy of the tourists’ first-innings total yesterday. After Pakistan were dismissed for 339 early in the day, having added 57 runs to their overnight total, England sailed to 118-1 after lunch at Lord’s. Yasir, however, turned momentum in Pakistan’s favour, ripping through England’s middle order to claim his fifth five-wicket haul in 13 tests. Yasir became the first leg-spinner since Mushtaq Ahmed in 1996 to take five wickets at Lord’s. Earlier, England all-rounder Chris Woakes took 6-70.
