The Price for Katie’s crazy life

-

My Crazy Life, about her recent visit to the British Parliament to campaign for an online anti-bullying law, spurred by the constant abuse levelled at her disabled son Harvey.

‘‘I’m trying to make it law, worldwide, that online abuse is a criminal offence and you go on a criminal register [if you commit SKY TV SKY TV discussing the spate of sexual harassment allegations and the #MeToo campaign. But that was stonewalled. ‘‘I’m not getting involved in it, because I’ve been involved in stuff myself,’’ she said. ‘‘So I’d rather keep out of it, I don’t want to be known for it or cause things, because it’s personal and I don’t want to talk about it, if you don’t mind.’’

She was at least happy to divulge her latest marital dramas – in particular her third husband Kieran Hayler (his predecessors were cage-fighter Reed and popster Peter Andre). ‘‘He [Hayler] was one of those people that picked on me ... but he was doing worse.

‘‘Kieran was always jealous of me working with this guy, [DJ] Tom Zanetti, thinking I’m doing something – when all along he’d been having sex with the nanny for 10 months. We even redid our vows and she was there witnessing it, knowing they’re shagging.’’

This rare moment of candour proved a final plug for the show: her nails were finished or maybe Katie had said all she wanted, but the interview had ended abruptly. For someone who has made her fortune baring all, both literally and figuratively, she gives very little away. ● My Crazy Life starts on TLC from February 21.
