-

POLICE have tracked down four teens behind an early morning ram raid on a Te Awamutu dairy.

One of the boys, all aged between 13 and 15, is also suspected of committing a series of property and vehicle crimes in the Waipa town over the past week.

Around 5.20am on Friday, a car was reversed through the store front of the Puniu Rd dairy and cigarettes, chocolate and lollies stolen. Shortly after, police found the vehicle dumped at a nearby skate park.

Waikato police Western Area Commander Inspector Andrew Mortimore said. ‘‘By the end of the day, they had identified, located and arrested all four of the young people involved in the burglary."

He praised the local officers for "knowing their community".
