● Spark customers used 424 terabytes of mobile data on Christmas Day; Vodafone users 573 terabytes. ● Vodafone users streamed about 255,000 hours of video on Christmas and Boxing Day. That’s about 105,500 viewings of Christmas classic Love Actually. ● Vodafone texters sent 1.2m texts at 9am on Christmas Day. ● Spark voice traffic was lighter than usual, peaking at 10am with 15,214 call hours within that hour, an increase of 20 per cent from Christmas Eve. ● Spark customers sent 8.4 million texts, compared to 13.6m last year. ● Between 8am and 9am on Christmas Day, Spark customers sent 147,370 texts – that’s 2456 a minute. ● 2degrees said its traffic doubled on Christmas Day, mostly on social media and video streaming.
