Thrills and swills in sunny Gisborne

Hollywood’s ‘‘scream king’’ is enjoying the change of scene. Patrick Wilson, best known for his roles in horror franchises The Conjuring and Insidious, spent many months on Australia’s Gold Coast last year playing the bad guy in bigbudget action blockbuster Aquaman.

The 45-year-old American actor talks about his character OrmMarius, shooting in the southern hemisphere and squaring up to Jason Momoa.

Patrick Wilson, who plays Orm Marius in Aquaman, says he started doing crossfit and a lot of powerlifting to bulk up for the role.
