Slip victim creaming it
A Swiss businessman who suffered a brain injury after slipping on a puddle of Baileys liqueur at Heathrow Airport has been awarded £130,000 (NZ$250,360), and is suing for more compensation. Andreas Wuchner hit his head after slipping on the drink, which had been spilled by a passenger near a British Airways check-in desk in 2017. His office supplies company folded the following year, and he took legal action against the airline over his injuries and for loss of earnings. His lawyer said he was entitled to compensation under the Montreal Convention, which governs payouts for injuries suffered by passengers embarking on international flights.
