Disorder on K Road

-

Dozens of officers and 19 police cars lined up at a prominent central Auckland street on Friday night to control gang-associated disorder in the area. Police cordoned off parts of Karangahape Rd shortly after 9pm and urged people to stay away from the area. There were about 30 police officers standing in formation outside the Neck of the Woods club, and about 10 more at the cordon, Auckland woman Lou Tee-Oh said. A 33-year-old man was charged with possessing an offensive weapon and a 59-year-old man is facing charges including assault and wilful damage. Both were arrested and were due in court.
