One Kiss ignites bid for NZ 1000 Guineas

Lightly raced 3-year-old One Kiss won the

$65K Canterbury Belle Stakes (1200m) at Riccarton yesterday. Rider Opie Bosson was at his brilliant best as he bounced One Kiss ($11) away nicely from the outside barrier in the 14-horse field, before settling in midfield with cover. One Kiss produced a burst of speed that took her clear at the 250m, and despite Bosson losing his whip, she maintained a solid gallop to win comfortably from the fast-finishing Perfectly Suited and Kikimora. She is now at $10 for the NZ 1000 Guineas on November 12.
