Delight at script deal

Auckland-based film-maker Alex Liu has won a script deal in an MGM-backed initiative aimed at discovering new voices from historically under-represented communities. As a Tongan-New Zealander, Liu says his point of view, ‘‘I guess, is quite unique’’. His winning script, God Bless You, Mr Kopu, is in development with Ant Timpson as executive producer.
