Ryall: Attack political

The union for medical specialists used a speech to dentists in Taupo yesterday to attack retiring Health Minister Tony Ryall. Association director Ian Powell said: ‘‘His beginning was promising, including the excellent ‘In Good Hands’ policy advice on distributive clinical leadership, and some pragmatic restructuring of Ministry of Health functions.’’ But he said it ended with a ‘‘legacy of neglect’’. Ryall dismissed the comments as ‘‘political rhetoric’’.
