Still Open All Hours

- James Croot

David Jason finally gets to the run the shop in this 2013 one-off special revisiting the popular British sitcom Open All Hours. Granville has taken over from Uncle Arkwright, and is now assisted by his son, Leroy (James Baxter), a good-looking young man with plenty of female admirers but no intention of doing things his father’s way. ‘‘A w-w-worthy effort,’’ wrote The Independent’s Will Dean. A six-part series, scheduled to air in the UK later this year, was recently shelved.
