HOUSE 2 - Dyls & Dylz

-

Kiwi blokes through and through, this charming duo put their skills to the test and banded together to create the ultimate family abode.

Their three thoughtfully constructed bedrooms have not escaped the home’s prevalent ‘chilled vibe’, which comes across in soft, neutral tones and custom designed macrocarpa furnishings. Rustic undertones have been the boys’ calling card throughout the show and the master bedroom is no exception with the installation of a barn door, which makes it a quiet sanctuary when visitors are around.

One of their favourite spaces in the home is the kid’s bedroom, which perfectly matches the brief for a 10 year old girl with the use of bright colours, a hanging rope swing and a fibre optics ‘starry night sky’.

Their secret weapon so far has been their building skills, and this is most evident in the two bathrooms which they have put a lot of effort into making every bit as luxurious as the house. Its prevailing macrocarpa detailing can be seen in the vanities which were cut, polished and stained by the boys themselves, but the real kicker is the schist feature wall in the main bathroom which will be sure to attract attention from discerning buyers.
