Shooting close call

A 24-year-old man who brandished a firearm at police early yesterday narrowly escaped death. Officers opened fire on the car the man was seated in after spotting the firearm. The man was wounded in the cheek and taken to hospital. He was released later in the day and was being questioned by police.
