Celebs bare souls on kiwiana

-

They’re the big questions in life: do you like your peanut butter crunchy or smooth? Can you account for the whereabouts of both jandals?

The Big Little Kiwi Census is a chance for New Zealanders to give their views on 30 things that really matter in life.

A few Kiwi celebrities have already weighed in on issues such as whether they wear pyjamas to bed or go au naturel.

For Paralympian Sophie Pascoe it’s pyjamas all the way. But Anika Moa, All Black Israel Dagg and cricketer Jimmy Neesham prefer to sleep starkers.

Antonia Prebble and Rachel Hunter also weighed in with their favourite beaches (New Chums in the Coromandel, and Hokianga respectively).

For Moa, her favourite beach is Shipwreck Bay in Ahipara, Northland.

The celebrities were spread evenly over the vexed issue of crunchy or smooth peanut butter.

When it comes to rescuing weta, both Prebble and Hunter have stepped up. Not so Neesham, Dagg and Moa though.

‘‘I’m good just watching someone else rescue it, thanks,’’ says Moa.

Rachel Hunter reckons her favourite song is the national anthem, while Prebble prefers Split Enz’ Message To My Girl. Dagg likes Six60’s Forever, and Neesham is partial to The Exponents’ Why Does Love Do This To Me.

The Big Little Kiwi Census is being held to mark breadmaker Vogel’s 50th anniversary.

Vogel’s marketing manager Jo Sutherland said the survey was about ‘‘finding out what makes us, us’’.

‘‘We’re hoping to find the things, big and not so big, that unite us as Kiwis in 2017.’’
