Test cricket set for shake-up
International cricket looks for a longawaited revamp from 2019.
The chief executives’ committee of the sport’s global governing body, including New Zealand Cricket boss David White, agreed to a proposal to overhaul all three formats at the end of a two-day meeting in Dubai yesterday. The proposal, which still needs to be signed off, includes a two-year test league, a three-year, 13-team one-day international league and a regional qualification process for the World T20 tournament.
