Former All Black Dan Carter may have to face the music with sponsors after a drink-driving charge in France this week. Carter, who now plays for French team Racing 92, was stopped by policein Paris on Thursday for allegedly driving with an excess bloodalcoh­ol level. He wrote on Facebook that he was back in New Zealand on a pre-planned holiday and reflecting on his error. Adidas, one of his major sponsors, said it hoped to "catch up with him at some stage". "We haven’t had an opportunit­y to speak directly with him so until that point we won’t be making any other comment," Adidas’ global marketing manager in New Zealand, Adam Daysh said.
