Jason Chasland

-

He once tweeted that he tells stories and sings songs. Jason Chasland wasn’t exaggerating. He might have been a tad humble. The small town boy who grew up big has stored away somewhere awards for Opera in the Park (Winner 2010), Stars as their Idols (Winner 2010), Young Achiever of the Year 2002, and Outstanding Performance 2002. So who does Jason Chasland think he is?

What are you plugging right now?

A little show that started from humble beginnings in Nelson called IMPOSTAR! It’s a universal story of self-discovery with a kick-ass sound track! This is our fifth season of the show and I’m so proud it’s a part of the Pride festival for 2017.

What’s your idea of perfect happiness?

Sounds cheesy but honestly my mum and my sisters – the three of them have been through hell and back and never once complained, just pushed through adversity and showed love.

Drinking pinot gris and rose, while eating French and Mexican food without getting drunk or gaining fat travelling the world. But also successfully working in our tough industry and being surrounded by my closest friends and family and having endless savings and mortgage free home with my future husband!

Which living person do you most admire?
