Correction

In Alice Snedden’s column in last weekend’s Sunday Star-Times we said that the prison sentence for an illegal abortion was up to 14 years. We would like to clarify that under the Crimes Act the sentence applies not to the woman in question but to those procuring the abortion. We apologise for any misunderstanding.
