4007/4008

Because Peugeot failed to get into the SUV game earlier, despite having the potential to do so, by the late 2000s it was caught unprepared for the burgeoning craze that was exploding around it. What to do? Well, how about hit up Mitsubishi for a version of its Outlander SUV? That would seem to do the trick.

Well, it kind of did. While it could be argued that the 4007 was a better car than the Mitsubishi thanks to some key changes by the French company, it still wasn’t exactly a roaring success and was replaced by the 4008 in 2012. The 4008 was essentially more of the same, being a badge-engineered version of the Mitsubishi ASX.
