Vatuvei injured

League: Salford’s international winger Manu Vatuvei, who terrorised the NRL for 14 years with the NZ Warriors, has suffered a major blow just a week before the start of the new Super League season in England. Salford released a statement yesterday saying Vatuvei had suffered a suspected serious Achilles injury. The 31-year-old wing is awaiting the results of a scan to determine the severity of the injury, which he suffered in training on Friday. He joined the Salford Red Devils towards the end of the 2017, scoring five tries in eight appearances.
