Rugby: Auckland-born wing Denny Solomona is set for his first Six Nations cap when England’s campaign begins in Rome against Italy next Sunday (Monday NZ time). England, like many of their northern hemisphere rivals, are beset by injury problems. Injuries to Lions wingers Elliot Daly and Jack Nowell, and Semesa Rokoduguni, have opened the door for Solomona to start the match. The 24-year-old, who controversially switched codes last year to join Sale Sharks from English Super League club Castleford Tigers, made his England debut against Argentina last year and scored the match-winning try off the bench in their 38-34 victory in the first test in San Juan.
