Woman dies, six in hospital after horror crash
A 37-year-old woman is dead after a two-car collision in Invercargill that left two others with serious injuries. The Fire Service had to extract four people who were trapped in the vehicles, and six people in total were taken to hospital. Police are appealing for information after the crash at the intersection of Newscastle and Clifton streets about 9.10pm on Friday. One person remains in a serious condition in Christchurch Hospital and another is in a moderate to serious condition in Southland Hospital.
