If you have a moment today...

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – or so the songs say around this time of year. And for many, there’s only one way to musically celebrate the Christmas period – especially if you’re a mother-in-law – and that’s with Michael Buble.

Forget your Slades, your Feliz Navidads, your Christmas Bells – the crooner is inescapable at the festive period.

That’s largely due to the fact his Christmas album is usually that impulse buy by the checkout when you’ve panic-bought a

hilarious tea towel that you think your wife will be amused by but then have buyer’s regret and the shops are closed.

I love the fact that Buble puts out the same album every year, with just one extra track added for his fans to buy it again, keeping some in aural misery for eternity.

But Ihave a better idea for the endless parade of Christmas Buble CDs, make them the centrepiece of your festive table – they make great coasters for your drinks.
