Langman to captain Ferns

Silver Ferns midcourter Laura Langman has been elected as the team’s captain through to the end of the Netball World Cup.

Ex-captain Casey Kopua has been made vice-captain for the upcoming Quad Series.

They were chosen for the roles after a vote yesterday by the Silver Ferns squad and management, a process coach Noeline Taurua introduced after taking charge in August and which handed the captaincy back to Langman. Predecessor, Katrina Rore, was elected vice-captain at the time but wasn’t selected for this month’s Quad Series so a new vice-captain was needed.
