Festival pulls pin

The South by Southwest festival (SXSW), an iconic American music, arts and technology event, has been cancelled amid growing fears about a possible coronavirus pandemic. The cancellation affects almost a dozen New Zealand acts who were set to perform at SXSW, including Nadia Reid and Tami Neilson. Neilson tweeted shortly after the news, saying she was gutted. ‘‘I am going to indulge myself in a big, fat crying session’’.
