Sample Queen Charlotte
Tackle a section of one of New Zealand’s Great Walks, the Queen Charlotte Track, on a short break based in Picton.

Climb Mt Aspiring
Take on ‘‘the Matterhorn of the south’’ on a five-day adventure with Wa¯ naka-based Aspiring Guides. You’ll take a helicopter to Bevan Col, where your guide will give you the lowdown on glacier travel and how to use crampons and an ice axe.
It is a technical climb, but the company says it is achievable without much mountaineering experience if you put in the necessary physical preparation beforehand.
