I know an event . . . Highball festival

Is there a collective noun for a group of spirit makers? If there isn’t, there should be. Especially given the number of spirit makers who will be at Wellington’s Dominion Museum Building on May 7 and 8, for Highball, one of New Zealand’s finest cocktail and spirit festivals.

The two-day festival features mainly Kiwi-made spirits such as whisky, rum, vermouth, brandy, limoncello, and absinthe.

There will also be lots of food options to soak up the alcohol.

The capital will then keep the party going with Cocktail Week, May 10-16. This will showcase cocktail menus and walking tours, as well as interactive workshops, including making your own tipples.
